Eine Tragödie hat sich im Deutschen Wellenreitsport zugetragen, eine der ältesten und renomiertesten Surfboard Shaping Factories auf dem Deutschen Markt muss die Produktion auf Eis legen da die Produktionsstätten von Fatum Surfboards in der Nähe von Peniche durch ein Feuer zerstört wurden.

Hier die offizielle Stellungnahme von Fatum zu dem Feuer:
On Tuesday, the 15th of January, a devestating fire destroyed the Fatum factory and showroom almost completely.
All working materials, tools, blanks, machines, finished and unfinished boards were lost. Only a few boards from the showroom could be saved. Currently we are trying to salvage whatever we can. We cannot say when exactly production can resume.
